Climate indicators are a set of parameters describing the long-term evolution of variables which give us information on our changing climate at a global, regional or local scale.

They cover information from domains such as temperature, precipitation and extreme weather events.
Having access to usable-ready data via different access points (UI, APIs) allows users to rapidly extract the information and integrate it in their pipelines. Due to its ease of use, clients can rapidly prototype and extract the desired information.

Since approximation of future events have always some discrepancy, different Scenarios of the Shared Socioeconomic Pathways by the IPCC report were processed and show scenarios of flooded areas until 2150.

ClimateLynx

ClimateLynx is a knowledge management system for climate related data and information. A knowledge base, also called “second brain”, is a tool that supports creating relationships between data and information to help manage and exploit one’s knowledge. ClimateLynx offers both the access to a large variety of climate indicators based on (re-)analysis, short- and long-term projections, and high-resolution datasets retrieved from Earth Observation data. It renders an effective engine to create meaningful links among multi-disciplinary domains, above all, climate data and socio-economics.

Inundation product

Sea level is rising do to climate change and ice melting. Models predict level increase up to 2150. Using global digital terrain models, land cover and water masks, we have developed an inundation map service to predict which areas will be potentially flooded by 2050, 2100 and 2150 if no protection measures are put in place. The service also considers the occurrence of five different storm surges levels.
